About Pumps
A pepita is a pumpkin seed kernel — the inner part of the seed, already removed from its tough outer shell. There's nothing to crack open or work through. You get the whole kernel, toasted and seasoned, ready to eat straight from the bag.
Not quite. Most pumpkin seeds at the store are shell-on — you have to chew through the outer hull to reach the seed inside. Ours are shell-off (pepita-style), so you're eating the kernel directly. The texture is lighter and the seasoning coats every piece evenly. We discontinued our shell-on format entirely. Everything we make is shell-off.
We start with raw pumpkin seed kernels, toast them to a light, firm crunch, then coat them in our seasoning blends. Every kernel gets fully coated — no dry center, no uneven seasoning.
Our seeds come from farms that specialize in pepita production. The pumpkin varieties they grow are bred specifically for thin, hull-less seeds — that's what allows the kernel to come out clean without a tough outer shell.

Our most savory flavor, built on nutritional yeast and fermented rice extract for rich umami depth. Paprika, garlic, onion, and a touch of maple syrup round it out. Flavor profile: savory, umami-forward, slightly sweet, with a warm spice finish.
Coated in organic brown sugar, organic maple syrup, and a touch of salt to balance it out. Rich and warm without being heavy. Flavor profile: sweet, caramelized, buttery, with a savory salt finish.
A clean take on the classic. We use organic white vinegar powder, which gives you a sharp tang without a harsh edge. Flavor profile: tangy, sharp, salty, with a crisp finish.
Nutritional yeast, onion, garlic, and lactic acid build the creamy base. Chili pepper and organic vinegar powder add a tangy kick. Flavor profile: creamy, herby, tangy, with a mild chili kick.
Starts smooth and builds gradually into a dill-and-brine finish. Not overpowering — the flavor comes on slowly and sticks around. Flavor profile: smooth up front, with a growing dill-and-brine finish.
Dietary & Allergens
Yes. All five flavors are 100% plant-based. No animal products, dairy, or eggs in any of them. Note: "Sweet Brown Butter" refers to the flavor profile only. The actual ingredients are entirely plant-based — no dairy.
All of our flavors are made without gluten-containing ingredients. We don't carry an official gluten-free certification. Yes. Pumpkin seeds are seeds, not tree nuts or peanuts. Our products are made without nuts. If you have a tree nut allergy, pumpkin seeds are generally considered safe — we'd still recommend checking with your doctor about your specific allergy.
None of our flavors contain wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, fish, shellfish, or peanuts. A couple of flavors use organic white vinegar powder — worth noting if you have a sulfite sensitivity. Our core ingredients are sourced to be non-GMO. Several flavors also use certified organic ingredients, including organic brown sugar, organic maple syrup, and organic white vinegar powder.

Ingredients & Nutrition
Pumpkin seed kernels (pepitas). Every Pumps product starts there.
Pumpkin seeds are a solid source of several nutrients: Protein (~8–9g per oz — more than almonds or cashews), Magnesium (supports muscle function and sleep), Zinc (supports immune function and skin health), Iron (useful for plant-based eaters), healthy unsaturated fats (no trans fats), Fiber (supports digestion and satiety), and antioxidants including vitamin E and carotenoids.
No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives in any flavor. Our seasoning blends use real food ingredients: nutritional yeast, fermented rice extract, organic vinegar powder, maple syrup, and spices.
Maple syrup works as a natural binder. It helps the seasoning coat the seeds evenly and stick. You won't notice a sweet taste in the finished product — it mainly smooths out the sharpness of the salt and spice.
Sweet Brown Butter contains added sugars from organic brown sugar, organic powdered sugar, and maple syrup. The savory flavors contain a small amount of maple syrup used as a binder — the sugar contribution is minimal. For the full nutrition panel on any flavor, visit its product page.
Storing & Serving
A light, firm crunch. The seasoning coats every kernel evenly, so the flavor is consistent from the first bite to the last. No shell to work through, no unseasoned center. Most people find them easy to snack on in larger amounts compared to nuts or shell-on seeds.
Each single-serve bag is one serving, approximately 1.5 oz (43g).
Yes — they work well in many applications: salad topper (Sea Salt & Vinegar works especially well), stirred into oatmeal or yogurt (try Sweet Brown Butter), mixed into trail mix, pressed into granola bars or baked goods, or used as a coating on roasted vegetables. The seasoning holds up well to heat in most cases.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed. Keep the bag sealed after opening and away from humidity or heat sources — moisture is the main thing that affects the crunch.
Each bag has a best-by date printed on the back. Shelf life from production is typically 9–12 months.

We ship from our fulfillment partner in Louisville, KY. Standard shipping typically takes 3–7 business days depending on your location. Expedited options may be available at checkout. You'll receive a tracking email once your order ships.

Returns & Refunds
Because Pumps are a food product, all sales are final once an order has shipped. We're not able to accept returns on opened or consumed items.
